Youth Program
In September 2007, Gaia’s Temple began offering Sunday School during the worship service for our children ages toddler and older. (At this time, we are unable to care for babes in arms.) We want our children to feel the loving presence of our community and to learn about the Goddess. We also know that it is unfair to expect our young children to remain comfortable and focused for the duration of the service. The youth program provides the younger children with fun, hands-on spiritual nourishment appropriate to their development.
The youth activities occur during the middle portion of the service so that the children begin and end the service in community with the larger congregation. We sing to them as they proceed downstairs for learning fun and snacks (along with our Teachers). The children rejoin us at the end of the service for the releasing of sacred space and the final song.
Our Teachers
Our youth program provides fun and engaging learning; age appropriate stories and games, art making and simple songs as our children learn about the Wheel of the Year and Mother Nature in safe and sacred space.
